Matt's Picks of the Day (3-2 week; 8-12 overall)

I guess a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while because I followed up my fantastic Monday with a winless Tuesday.

To be fair, it was underdogs galore across the entire slate, so it wasn't the easiest day to bet in general.

Despite the struggles, I have two more games to dive into for tonight with hopes of getting back on track.

Let's go!

MLB

Rockies Game #2 ML -145

As you will all get used to, I love blindly betting against the winning team in game one of double-headers in game two as long as the teams are semi-competitive.

With the struggling Cubs taking game one, I feel like the better team has to at least snag one of the two.

To make things better, the Rockies will be facing a lefty, who they hit hard, and are sending out their ace - German Marquez - tonight.

Colorado is also 21-8 as a betting favorite.

I'm choosing to ignore their road struggles and use logic to pick this game.

Indians -1.5 +100

I'm running back the same bet as last night, taking the Indians to beat (but this time cover the run-line) a terrible Rangers team.

Texas is dreadful on the road, against right-handed pitching and as a betting underdog.

Zach Plesac is pitching for the Indians tonight, and he is in the midst of an impressive home streak, going 3-1 in his last four games there. The Indians covered the spread in all of the wins, too.

Hopefully tonight I will get the result I was going for last time around.

Not a long post today, but it will hopefully be an effective one. Let's make some money!
