Hello, all! Thanks for taking a look at this new journey I'm starting for myself. I appreciate each and every person that takes time out of their day to support what I'm passionate about, and as a thank you, I hope to make you all just a little more wealthy day by day!
I hope to start off with a bang today, and having only one pick because of a short MLB slate won't change that. Here we go!
MLB
Athletics -111
With Oakland 8-2 in its last 10 games and Chicago cold after dropping two of three to the Yankees last weekend, I have the White Sox carrying those woes into this week.
Simply put, there are many things going against the Sox in this one.
To start, Dallas Keuchel gets the start for Chicago today, and while that may look like a pro as opposed to a con, Oakland enjoys hitting lefties, having a record of 27-17 when playing one. The White Sox enjoy a good southpaw as well but will be depressed to see right-handed Frankie Montas is getting the start for the A's.
So, pitching wise, I give the edge to Oakland.
Another trend that stuck out to me is that the White Sox *really* struggle against superior teams. When playing a team they aren't favored against, Chicago has a 6-16 record. If you're telling me a team loses about three out of four times with a certain trend, I tend to think of it as a safe place to throw my money at.
And while the White Sox excel in front of their home fans, The A's weirdly enjoy unfriendly territory with a record of 34-25 on the road, so you know this squad won't back down when the going gets tough.
For all those reasons stated above, give me the A's baby! Let's start my career on the right foot.
